After a long winter of mostly building renovations for the shop, it is nice to be able to hit the road with an eye for new roadside deals, or bike projects in the rough. As it was today, I stumbler across a yard sale with a line of bicycles by the road. The usual mix of heavily abused kids bikes, poorly maintained huffys and the odd no name or two. In the line up, I stumbled upon a blue schwinn.
It definately needs some work, but the frame and all the components seem in great condition. Cables and rubber are another story, decals are almost gone, and the paint has a few rough spots. It is however a good deal for $10. Maybe $50 in parts, tires and tubes and it will be on par for regular rides.
